Bonaire Diver FAQ >> Uncategorized >> FAQ #24 – La Dania’s Leap.

This FAQ is not a dive guide however plenty of people struggle to find the location and it is worth me taking time to suggest you consider a guide or local diver buddy.

The location La Dania’s of Leap is marked on the road, however it is not easy to recognize those markings until someone else has pointed them out at least once. The Ying Yang symbol in the road has faded and the pile of stones that has been created as a marker looks just like any other pile of stones on the left side of the road (travelling North, one way).

I my opinion you should get a guide on your first dive to La Dania’s Leap

a) for the purposes of finding it in the first place.

b) given it’s a longer drift dive so it is better to dive plan with someone who has prior experience

c) because the ascent markers are covered in coral and may not stand out to you so easily until you’ve had someone show you.

d) to be shown how to safely exit and in what location.

e) to understand parking options given the entry and exit points are at different dive sites.

Everything you need to see during this dive is less than 50ft in depth so there is no point in adding risk to a longer dive by swimming deeper and busting through your air supply.
